Loud Engine Noise problems of the 2010 Kia Motor Soul

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 kia Soul. The contact stated that while driving at low speeds, a loud noise was detected from the vehicle with multiple unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact mentioned that the high beam light was illuminated but was not put on by the contact. As a result, the contact noticed smoke which lead to fire coming from under the hood. The contact also mentioned that when the vehicle was turned off and the key was out of the ignition, the vehicle kept revving up. A police report was filed. The local fire department extinguished the fire. No injuries where sustained. The vehicle was towed to a local body shop and then towed to the vehicle insurance company. The contact mentioned that the insurance company towed the vehicle to another unknown location where the vehicle was considered a total loss. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for a diagnostic test or repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 90,000. Dr.
