general problems of the 2013 Kia Motor Soul

On 1-16-25 I was involved in a vehicle crash in which the airbags "did not" deploy. The vehicle is at my home, the brakes locked also. I have photos. No inspection to my knowledge. Yet. Insurance claim was filed. I do not have a police report yet. No warning lights or sensors.

The contact owns a 2013 kia Soul. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 23v652000 (service brakes, hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Engine rod bearings loose torque and piston break make a hole into block, I fix the engine but my cat converter failed.

I was involved in a car accident where a truck pulled out in front of me causing me to hit him in his side with the front passenger side of my car resulting in the car to roll two times. As a result of the airbags not deploying the windshield came into the car causing lacerations to the face of the passenger and as the car was rolling his right arm was out of the window causing him to have to have staples put in his arm and the skin on his hand was gone both driver and passenger had concussions and I feel that these injuries could have been avoided if the airbags (front and side ) were to deploy !.

I was driving doing about 30 mph and hit a boulder and came to complete stop and my air bags did not deploy. And there is another feature vogue or on star that is spouse to call for help did not go off either.

I was sitting at a stop light and when the light turned green, I proceeded to drive about 20 mph. About 30 seconds later, I received a heavy punch in my chest and stomach area. I yelled, "what is going on". I then noticed the airbag had deployed and exploded causing multiple burns and bruises to my arms, chest, clavicle and stomach areas. I was a little disoriented after this but managed to get out of the car. Once out of the car, I noticed I had rear-ended the vehicle in front of me and the driver was telling me to get away from the car since my car was smoking. It was 95 degrees that day and I did not have the air conditioning on. This was a defective airbag.

Not sure if I have takata airbags, but there is an airbag problem.

Received recall notice for kia Soul on Jan. 29. To date (2/22/15) I have been unable to reach them by phone or e-mail even though I have called every day. I have not received any response whatsoever to any of my calls or e-mails. What do I do to get service for this dangerous condition in my car?. I have several long trips planned in the near future & would like to have this fixed before I leave. Please respond with some helpful info as I am at my wits end.

I was involved in a head on collision with a 2001 Jeep cherokee which turned left in front of me as I traveled in the straight lane. My speed was approximately 40mph. The entire front of my vehicle is caved in, but none of my airbags deployed. Both of the airbags in the other vehicle deployed.

I was second in line at a stop sign and was hit by 2006 Ford f150 traveling about 50 mph in the drivers front quarter panel. The only 2 airbags that deployed were the steering wheel and the front passenger air bag. The 2 in the pilars coming down along the windshield did not deploy, neither did the ones on the door.

Was making a left hand turn into a parking spot next to car that was already parked, was barely moving when all of a sudden the car takes off hits the curb and hits the wall of a building, air bags deployed. We had been driving that morning with no problem until that time. Front end was totaled with possible damage to the wheels/axles due to the impact with the curb. Couple of days later neck pain probably due to whiplash, glasses were knocked into the back seat - wife just jammed her pinky.

Airbag exploded on impact with gaping holes with heavy smoke coming out with hot heat causing redness to my chest and redness to my hands and a blow to my wrist that caused fracture to my left wrist.
