general problems of the 2015 Kia Motor Soul - part 2

It has been troubled for couple of years. Main issue is when I start engine rpm hit over 3,000 and engine check light on. Very first time bring the car dealer ship, they just reset ecu but same symptom over again dealer ship changed ecu. During a year it was okay but recently same problem come up again.

Had vehicle towed to beck's auto service, indianapolis, in. Was told something broke loose in the engine and that engine had to be replaced. Vehicle is now sitting as I still owe $5,000. 00 on it and do not have the $6,200. 00 they told me it would cost for repairs.

The car computer is not registering the correct gear the car is placed into, thus causing the car to bypass critical safety features. The car's power train, electric systems, and fuel systems fail intermittently as a result of failing neutral safety inhibitor. The car reads that the gear is in drive instead of park and will not turn over. Thousands of other kia customers are reporting the same issues since 2010 with no resolution. Dealership service centers have not been able to help the customers because the diagnostic tools do not pick up on this signal failure. The send car owners away saying the vehicle is in great condition only for the car to stall on the highway unexpectedly a few days later. This is dangerous and the customers have been given no option but to drive a vehicle with serious safety issues. Just check out the numerous youtube videos of customers all having the same issues across multiple kia models starting in 2010.

My kia is burning oil and started this hesitation feeling !! my car smells burnt inside and out of the car.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 kia Soul. The contact stated that while driving her vehicle at various speeds, she noticed her vehicle was not operating normally. The contact then checked her oil and noticed that she was missing two quarts after she had just having an oil change. The next day, while driving a 50 mph, the engine began to stall without warning and the contact pulled the vehicle off to the side. The contact notified her husband and had the vehicle towed to her home. The contact's husband removed that battery from the vehicle and tried to replace it. When the battery was replaced, the vehicle began to smoke while attempting to be started. The contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer(napleton river oaks kia 1951 river oaks dr, calumet city, IL 60409 708-888-1069) where the contact was informed that they would perform a diagnostic on the vehicle. The contact was then informed that the engine was locked and was given a quote for the repair. The contact reached out to the manufacturer and was informed that the vehicle was not under warranty and that there are no recalls on the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 85,323. Jo.

While driving at 55 miles per hour, the engine suddenly ceased, emitting black smoke, causing components to melt and necessitating the replacement of the short block. Consequently, the catalytic converter is now malfunctioning, likely due to the misfires the engine experienced.

Vehicle burst into flames after horrible rattling noise. Driving in the city going around 25 mph.

I was driving twenty miles per hour. The engine was rattling then I lost power. The car caught on fire after that.

I had my car into the dealer for unknown oil loss, the car was not burning it or leaking. I was informed by the dealer that it was an issue but there are no recalls on it. They took the engine apart and took pictures to submit to kia for advice. Kia refused to authorize them to fix the engine. On my way home on the highway with the car the engine started knocking when accelerating, the car lost power and the engine light came on. The car has about 111000 miles and it's been sitting for 2 years now because it needs the engine and catalytic converted replaced. I had to buy another car to drive. I have periodically called car to see if they were going to do a recall on the 2. 0 engine like they did for the 1. 6 because the 2. 0 was doing the exact same thing. It been 2 years and finally I got a recall letter that they now have the recall. I had my car towed to suntrup kia to get a new engine. I was told that the kia computers had been hacked and they could not get approval to fix the engine. They hoped it would be up next week. Next week came and they called and said they fixed the recalls. I asked if they replaced the engine and catalytic converter that quick. They said no my car did not fail some test they did. I called kia to get the issue resolved and they also told me they could not help me because there computer's were down and had no eta on when they would be back up. Now I have to pay to have my car towed home again. Suntrup kia recommend me not to drive it.

The vehicle was taken to pitre kia (9640 eagle ranch road, albuquerque, nm 87114, (877) 887-1633) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the clutch and fly wheel needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 46,000.
