One problem related to steering gear box has been reported for the 1999 Kia Motor Sportage. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Windshield wipers work only intermittently. Dealer replaced motor and switch, but cannot remedy situation. Also the steering gear was leaking at oitman arm spline seal due to steering gear box failure.
