While pulling out of a parking lot, consumer applied brakes, there was a clunk sound and there were no brakes, consumer had to pull the emergency brake in order for the vehicle to stop.

Brakes have been replaced four times. By the dealership mechanic. When traveling on highway there is a bumping noise coming from rear wheels. Dealershp was aware of problem.

Engine stalls in traffic and loses power. Took to dealer, hey cleaned engine, and problem reoccurred. Consumer stated the brakes were replaced after 2 months of owning vehicle, 2 oxygen sensors sensors were replaced, the thermostat was replaced, defroster was defective, the exhaust systems was replaced, and the windshield wiper flew off.

4 Brake Foundation Components problem

Failure Date: 04/10/2001

Was driving 5mph and pulling into a parking spot, applied the brakes which failed, and vehicle did not stop. Had to slam on brakes in order for vehicle to slow down and then stop.

While driving at 30 mph there was a need for an emergency stop and vehicle began sliding when brakes were applied, striking another vehicle in rear. Upon impact, air bags failed to deploy. Dealer has not been contacted.

Consumer starting having problems at 13,000 miles. Had extended stopping distance. Dealer stopped the noise but, engine check light still comes on.

Intermittently when brakes are applied pedal goes to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance. Dealer has not been able to duplicate the problem.

Consumer stated the brakes failed.

While driving rented vehicle from budget rental the steering and brakes failed causing the vehicle to crash throught a barb wired fence and into a field, the steering wheel did a 360 degree turn and brake would not stop the vehicle. Nlm.
