The contact owns a 2008 kia Sportage. While driving 30 mph, the clockspring malfunctioned without warning and the air bag light remained illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed as needing the clockspring replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 154,000.
Airbag light has come on several times and each time I have taken the vehicle to the dealership for repair. They have replaced the seat bottom and even rewired the car, but the airbag continues to come on and stays on.
