Delivery Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings Problems of Kia Motor Sportage

I own a 1998 kia Sportage 4wd. I have access to alldata. Com. I have recently performed some engine work to my vehicle and came across a recall that caused me some concern. Number: kt2006050901 is listed as a possible concern for "certain 1996 - 2002 Sportage models. "I would like to know what makes a particular vehicle one that is marked "for concern. " the recall states the exact issue that I am facing with my vehicle. This condition is being exhibited at this time. The local kia dealership has informed me that my vehicle is not one that I sto be serviced under this recall even though it is exhibiting what the recall information outlines. Why, would you please, is my vehicle not one that should be a candidate for this safety recall? I have a leak from the top of the tank. A dealership in nashville says that from all that they understand, my vehicle should be inspected/repaired for this recall concern.

: the contact stated there was a smell of gas and a fuel leak observed under the vehicle. It was driven to an independent repair shop who replaced the fuel tank and the fuel lines. The dealer has been alerted. The fuel tank and fuel lines had rusted and were leaking gasoline. Updated 08/25/06.

After starting the vehicle or while driving the vehicle, at various speed of 40 mph consumer smelled fuel odor. Vehicle taken to the dealer, and they informed the consumer that it was a fuel line. Consumer did not know where the fuel line went or what kind of fuel line it maybe.

The fuel line came off under hood causing fuel to spill on the engine. Taken to the dealership the dealer said that the clip on fuel line came off. Please provide any additional information. Ts.

We bought a 1999 kia in November of 1999. Since then we have had nothing but trouble with it. Every six months there is something gone wrong with it.

Fuel line came loose causing gas to leak out.
