On January 28, 2026, I brought my vehicle to kia of fayetteville for brake pads, rotor replacement, and brake fluid service. I paid approximately $900 for these services and was provided a dealership loaner vehicle. Upon entering the loaner vehicle, I discovered a loaded firearm inside the vehicle as I was gathering my items. The firearm’s serial numbers appeared to be scratched off. Law enforcement was immediately notified. No apology, acknowledgment, or remedial action was taken by dealership management. During this incident, the service manager, alex prat, acted in an aggressive, disrespectful, and unprofessional manner. Shortly after retrieving my vehicle, my husband who was driving the vehicle experienced a complete loss of braking ability. The vehicle was towed to another authorized kia dealership, southern pines kia, where technicians documented that multiple brake system components were improperly installed and/or unsecured, including missing or improperly fastened hardware. The vehicle was deemed unsafe to operate.
While exiting the az mesa 202 e loop, the front driver rim snapped in the center and caused the tire to fly off.
The rear shock is leaking/bad. My car only has 30k miles. It caused my wheels to wear unevenly, which could have led me and my family to have a car accident if a wheel popped while driving. An independent service center has confirmed this when the vehicle failed inspection. No warning of the issue.
Vehicle at 700 miles is having suspension issues causing bumping and shaking during the ride making it unsafe.
While I was driving my forward collision warning indicator started flashing on my dashboard while a dinging sound went off. There was nothing around me, then my tire pressure warning started going off while my pressure was fine. The indicators would switch back and forth between both warnings, then my mirror sensors were indicating that something was next to both of my mirrors while nothing was there. Then all of my warning indicators began flashing and continued to flash. Once these issues started my back up camer no longer worked while I was in reverse. I brought my vehicle days later when the issue persisted to the place I bought it and they are ordering a new back up camera with no real explanation. Considering this relates to a collision warning something in the vehicle meant to prevent a collision, not working properly my opinion is this is a safety issue.
On October 1st, 2022 we rented the listed vehicle from budget rent a car in port canaveral, FL. We had just returned from a cruise vacation and due to the hurricane, we had to drive to fort myers to pick up my 83 year old mother from the hospital, as my sisters home had just been flooded my hurricane ian. When we rented the vehicle, the location was extremely busy, and they simply handed us the keys to the car. No inspection was completed, however my husband and I noticed several dents and deep scrapes to the vehicle that had began rusting. We joked how bad in shape the vehicle was considering it only had about 5000miles on it. We drove to fort myers and heard some banging in the rear drivers side. When we stopped for gas, my husband checked to make sure there wasn’t any obvious issue with the tire…. He noted no appearance of damage to the tire. As no other vehicles were available due to the hurricane, we continued, picked up my mother, and began our trip back to the north atlanta. We spent the night in north florida, and resumed our trip the next morning. In forsyth, GA (monroe county) the rear tire began to wobble and the car began to shake. Traffic was extremely heavy, but we were able to pull to the narrow shoulder. My husband got out of the car and immediately noticed the tire appeared to be coming off the car. He looked at the lug nuts and only 3 remained. He touched them to see if they were tight and 2 bolts with the nuts attached fell off the wheel. The bolts fell off the wheel! we contacted avis budget group and explained the situation, but we’re told it would be 4 to 6 hours before they could send anyone to help us. We pleaded with them, as this section of highway is extremely dangerous and full of semi-tractor trailers. We had to call 911 to get help to get us to safety. Additional info available. We have the lug nuts/broken bolts in our possession. Clearly we were rented a defective, not maintained, unsafe vehicle.
We have taken the vehicle in to zeigler kia twice to complain about a clicking noise athat sounds like it around the tire area. Neither time has the issue been resolved. We have also taken the vehicle in for a recall that possibly could be related to the sensors being inoperable. This issue has yet to be resolved as well. They are quite unhelpful even making us stay on hold for over 30 minutes to try and speak to a representative. I would like to get the issue resolved as it sometimes sounds like a tire may disconnect.
These tires ball super quick and are a danger to the road. Others have complained as well on review sites. Since they wear fast they also pop easily. Have popped 3 tires in 1. 5 years all different tires. 1st tire popped at 12k miles 2nd tire popped at 20k miles 3rd tire popped at 26k miles scorpion zero all season - size: 245/50r20 these need recalled. They are pour quality and are a road hazard if anyone pops their tire at higher speeds. Thankfully all three of mine were lower speeds. I have now replaced the latest tire with a different brand as these tires put me at risk.
