Gasoline Fuel System Problems of Land Rover Discovery

The contact owns a 1995 Land Rover Discovery. The contact stated that while refueling the vehicle he observed gasoline leaking from the rear of the vehicle where the fuel tank was located. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 04v203000 (fuel system, gasoline); the VIN was included, but the vehicle had never been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened.
