Consumer received recall notice involving cracked fuel tanks concerning Land Rovers. Had appointment with dealer, and then was informed that there would be a $600 charge for the fuel pump that would be damaged when the fuel tank was removed. Called manufacturer, and they said that they would not cover extra expense of the fuel pump or any other damages incurred by the replacement of this recall.

Consumer stated that when gas tank was full gas leaked from the top of the tank. Consumer called the manufacturer to indicate that this vehicle was having same problem as stated in recall 04v007000, and was told that the consumer's vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN.
