One problem related to air bag not deploy has been reported for the 2001 Land Rover Discovery Ii. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Owner was driving at approximately 5 mph and vehicle surged forward and began accelerating. Vehicle went across a ditch, and landed up side down. Vehicle was totaled. There were no injuries. Also, upon impact, air bags failed to deploy. Consumer stated that there was a recall in 2002 concerning and accelerator problem. The recall was for his model and year vehicle and believes it's possibly related the sudden acceleration he experienced.
