Dry rot in michelin synchrone tires: at 23926 miles the dealer's service advisor expressed concern about dry rot in tires that were date-stamped as made in Jan & Feb 2002. Both the dealer, Land Rover inc. (the car is a 2002 Freelander se with 225/55r17 tires) and a local retailer, discount tire CO. , advised replacement of all four tires. A 'dry rot' rating test is needed for consumer saftey!.
