Failure Date: 03/19/2016

The contact owns a 2008 Land Rover Lr2. While driving 35 mph, another vehicle pulled out from a parking space and collided into the passenger side of the contact's vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The contacted sustained face and chest injuries that required medical attention. The contact did not know if a police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 45,000.

2 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2014

Airbag and seat belt lights stay lit while driving. Dealer said when both lights are lit airbags will not deploy. $1000. 00 to replace passenger seat cushion because of "faulty" sensor embedded in cushion. Now when I see the lights I turn vehicle off and then back on until I don't see the lights. Strange that a faulty sensor would disable safety features.
