The contact owns a 2008 Land Rover Lr2. While driving at approximately 50 mph, there was an abnormal humming noise coming from the rear of the vehicle without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear differential failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred numerous times. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.
