The contact owns a 2005 Land Rover Lr3. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number:08v248000(steering column). The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The prior recall repair was for the air bags. The manufacturer was contacted and advised that they were not willing to cover the repair a second time, since the vehicle was already repaired under the recall. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 68,000 and the current mileage was 73,000.
I purchased my 2005 Land Rover Lr3 certified pre-owned with just 17. 999 miles on it. Just 7 short months later with an additional 8,000 miles on it, totaling approximately 25,300 miles, the tires (which were supposedly brand new at time of purchase) were completely bald, and the steering column went out on it.
