I purchased a 2006 Land Rover Lr3 se in Dec. 2005. It has approx. 13k miles and I was about to rotate the tires when I noticed that the inside tread on both rear tires had worn completely through exposing the steel belts while the outside portion of the tread was not worn at all. It appeared to have a significant camber misalignment on both rear wheels. It was so dangerous, I called roadside assistance to tow the vehicle instead of driving and risk blowing the tire on the way to the dealership. After dealer inspection the dealer agreed to pay only half the cost to replace the tires and said that factory camber settings would require us to replace all 4 tires approximately every 10k miles (every 6 months). They are charging me $769 for 2 tires - that would cost $1500 every 6 months!! I have contacted Land Rover USA to have them buy back my vehicle because this mechanical/safety issue was not disclosed to me at point-of-sale. I am awaiting response. I am making this complaint so that no one gets killed on the highway due to blowouts. In researching this problem, I found that countless others on the Land Rover forum experienced identical problems.
