Land Rover LR3 owners have reported 1 problem related to brake sensor (under the service brakes category). The most recently reported issues are listed below. Also please check out the statistics and reliability analysis of Land Rover LR3 based on all problems reported for the LR3.
The right rear wheel was making a high pitched nose for almost 8 months. I was told there was nothing wrong. Eventually the high pitched noise turned into a loud grinding noise and was told the "outside" brake,(which has no sensor) had been locked in place and caused the breaks to wear completely down to metal on metal. This required me to buy new brakes for both sides. It seem to me to be a malfunction in the car but the dealer said it is a "wear and tear" item so it is not covered by the warranty. If it was just wear and tear why did only one side wear down to the metal and why isn't there a sensor for this. It appears to be a malfunction in the braking system if there truly is no sensor for the "outside" brake pad.
