The contact owns a 2005 Land Rover Lr3. The contact stated that the rear liftgate fell on her head. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that the failure was caused by the strut bolt which fell into the gate housing. The dealer stated that the entire gate would have to be removed to correct the problem. The contact called the manufacturer who took a complaint but offered no further assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000 and the current mileage was approximately 59,000.
