One problem related to engine clicking and tapping noises has been reported for the 1996 Land Rover Range Rover. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving, air conditioner suddenly cut off, smoke coming from the glove box filled the cabin, the hood was lifted and there was a clicking noise, engine ignited and front end meleted to the ground, vehicle was totalled, fire department felt it was definately not the fuel line, however they did smell gas.
