Air Bag Not Deploy problems of the 2006 Land Rover Range Rover

One problem related to air bag not deploy has been reported for the 2006 Land Rover Range Rover. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2014

The front passenger occupancy sensor in my 2006 Range Rover intermittently works. When the passenger seat is occupied, 50% of the time the air bag fault light will be illuminated, which means that the passenger airbag, or perhaps all airbags will not deploy in an accident. I was surprised to find out that a few friends with the same car area also having the same issue, and this is not a recall item for Land Rover. In order for this situation to be remedied, I must purchase the $220 sensor and have it installed, which requires removal of the passenger seat and leather covering the seat bottom cushion. This should be a recall, as it has been a recall item for other manufacturers such as Honda.
