One problem related to alternator/generator/regulator has been reported for the 2006 Land Rover Range Rover. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2006 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated that there was a loss of power associated with the ignition switch. The contact had to leave the vehicle parked for a few days. Afterwards, the contact was able to start the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the alternator assembly needed to be replaced. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer indicated that the vehicle was excluded from NHTSA campaign number: 06v131000 (electrical system). The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.
