The contact owns a 2015 Land Rover Range Rover. While making a turn at approximately 15 mph, the rear passenger door unlatched independently. The contact mentioned that the door was tightly secured prior to the release. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the software was updated and lock was replaced. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v385000 (latches/locks/linkages). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 7,000.
