Tl- the contact owns a 2019 Lexus Es. The contact stated that pulling into a parking spot when they attempted to press the brake pedal to stop the vehicle the brake pedal floored causing the vehicle to coast forward into the side of the building. Once, the contact stated that the vehicle continued to coast forward despite pumping the brakes. The contact placed the vehicle in reverse to get the vehicle from out the side of the building. Once in reverse and off the side of the building, the contact quickly shift the vehicle's gear into the park position and turned it off. The airbags did not deploy. The contact received bruises on their chest area, however, no medical attention was needed. The passengers were not injured. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and brought to the dealer (caliber collision located at 6634 indiana Ave, riverside, CA 92506 phone number 951-683-6734) who diagnosed that parking brake assist failed and the front end was severly damaged and that both needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact stated they were made aware the failure related to NHTSA campaign number 19v544000 (electronic stability control, service brakes) however, the VIN was not included in the recall.
