Vehicle hesitates when gas pedal pressed; creating hazard to cross intersections, merging into traffic. In order to have car respond, hard press on gas pedal required, which creates another dangerous situation of unexpected leap! while no recalls are shown, 2 reports [xxx] are shown on NHTSA recall site. The vehicle stalls when I try to take off causing me to pull into traffic slower.
While at a stop sign or light, I have experienced on at least five separate occasions where I press the accelerator and the vehicle does not move. I took it in to the Lexus dealer last year and have set up another appointment again next Monday September 27. There response is that they will put it on their diagnostic machine.
I called sheehy Lexus of annapolis to get this recall addressed two weeks ago and they told me the parts are not available. I called again today and they told me the same thing. They do not know when the parts will be arriving. The letter they sent stated "if a vehicle stall occurs while driving, this could increase the risk of a crash". 2 incidents- July 2020 driving on city streets, car would not move/accelerate after stopping and had to turn off engine and restart engine. This happened twice on our way home. August 2020- driving on city street, car was at stop signal and would not accelerate after several attempts the acceleration did resume.
Tl- the contact owns a 2019 Lexus Es350. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 20v012000 ( fuel system, gasoline however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact called to Lexus of maplewood (3000 us-61, maplewood, mn 55109;651-415-2423) where it was confirmed that the part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware if the issue. The contact had not experience a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
Vehicle stalled in driveway.
This vehicle stops suddenly and wont start. There is still no solution on how to fix this car . As asked from Lexus still they have no clue when this recall can be fixed. It has stopped many times behind traffic light on many occasions I am driving a loaner car but if I making payments I want my own car back I believe this car needs to be lemoned.
