1 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2019 Lexus ES

Failure Date: 02/02/2021

Accident description: traveling south on I-95 just past the 895 split. I was traveling in the middle lane with a speed of 60-65 mph. The car started to drift left quickly. There was no vibration warning through the steering wheel indicating lane departure. I was rapidly moving toward the concrete base of the moravia road overpass. The steering was tight. I attempt to brake and steer right but nothing seemed to work. The autobrake was on but did not apply and I hit the concrete base of the wall on the left front corner of the Lexus. I did several 360's and landed against the jersey wall in reverse direction of the traffic. The air bags did not deploy. The car would not start. I was able to put my window up/down and the door did open. I remained in place with my seat belt still on until office smith arrived. He recorded the incident. In summary, I believe the low precure fuel pump stopped operating causing the engine to stall at high speed and was thus the source of the crash.

2 Engine Belts And Pulleys problem of the 2005 Lexus ES

Failure Date: 01/20/2012

I received a safty recall notice from Lexus indicating my engine crankshft pulley may loose and cause loss of power steering. I called Lexus and they said I had to take the vehicle to a Lexus dealer. Since there isn't a Lexus dealer in my hometown they informed me that the closest dealers were at least 150 miles from my home. I bought the car at a local used car dealership that is no longer in business. I asked if they could certify my local Toyota dealer to do the inspection and they said no. If this defect is on my vehicle it would be unsafe to drive 150 miles to get to their certified dealer. If there is an accident on my way to the inspection who is liable? they will be. I want them to accomodate me by certifying the local Toyota dealer to do an inspection for me.
