I bought a 2019 Lexus Es350 f sport in October 2023 with 41,000 miles. Almost a year later to the day I went to a touchless car wash and now have excessive condensation in both headlights. Lexus shows these lights at $2500 a piece, plus labor to install. With modest investigating for a remedy I see I’m not alone in this predicament. Due to high cost of replacement I believe this warrants looking into whether it should be a recall or at least a safety bulletin as moisture in an electric environment will quickly become a major issue.

Issue number one the dashboard the steering wheel and the clutch handle for automatic or manual melts it gets extremely hot and slippery it burns no matter if you cover your car or anything it melts and the glare from it is very dangerous when the sun hits the windshield while driving it makes it look like a mirror form I'm not the only one who complains about this issue because why does the dashboard melts and create a dangerous flare with glare excuse the heating and cooling seats I believe also I'm not sure if it's causing condensation because it's connected to the ac which is also an issue no matter how much you get it fixed like I'm not sure if the blend door actuator gets stuck but a lot of people complain about that too because I'm not the only one with that issue 3 the gas pedal gets stuck no matter how many treatments and maintenance and services you get done with your car that's still dangerous because I was driving one day on the highway and my pedal got stuck while driving I keep my car in tip top shape have evidence and all. The light fixtures also is an issue I'm not sure if they're supposed to go down no matter how many lights and replacements you do they still become dim which is dangerous at night while driving in the woods or on dark paths 4 the fuel system they tell to use premium gas which is 91 but then the dealers take to use 87 which causes a stalling on the I believe transmission which is also another faulty issue cuz no matter how many times you replace everything is still very faulty I ran into a lot of people and friends who have the same issue and again I'm a person who take care of my car and 5 last but not least all the windows and sunroof keep opening which I didn't know was that supposed to be a feature.

I own a 2002 Lexus Es300 and am the original owner. I have enjoyed the experience of driving the car to around 175k miles in nearly 12 years. So far, I did not have any major problems with the car until recently. Last Friday, Aug 8, 2014, my wife drove the car to a friend’s place and was parked in a parallel parking area. There were 3 cars in that parking area including my car in 5 car parking area. The two parking spots behind my car were vacant. My wife was trying to back up to a spot right in front of another car which was parked there. While trying to backup, there was a sudden acceleration of the engine and hit the car right behind and that car went and hit another car that was behind that car. The impact was so much that there was significant damage to my car and another car that was right behind and minor damage to the third car. Not only the damage to one car right behind but displaced its position and direction that it was parked. The third car was pushed over to the curb and was about to hit the pedestrians that were nearby. There were eye witnesses and police were called to the accident scene and reported the incident. After the incident occurred, I was looking to see if there were any issues with sudden acceleration of the cars and any safety recalls. I did notice that there were quite a few complaints about the sudden acceleration and safety issues on 2002 Lexus Es300. I am kind of disappointed in the way the car malfunctioned and I want to know what NHTSA is doing about it and how it can help victims like me. Thanks and appreciate your response.

While driving in heavy traffic and traveling at a low speed, the car lurched forward and hit the car that was 6 feet in front of me. The sound of the engine was that of a spontaneous acceleration just like the incident we had on April 30, 2013. There was little or no damage to the car in front of me but the Lexus sustained over $10,000. Worth of damage and has subsequently been considered a total loss. The incident on April 30 consisted of our crawling forward into a parking spot, suddenly the car spontaneously accelerated, went over the cement parking barrier and hit a car approximately 5 feet away. Lexus looked at the black box after the 4/30 accident and determined that the car was safe to drive.

I was driving on the interstate and both head lights went out at 70 mph. The problem started with one light then the other with no reason. You can switch them on and off several time and they usually come back on but when they both went off at the same time at 70mph they restored a 8 times! I took the car the dealer and instantly they start talking about what I needed to pay. I should not have to pay for manufactures defect. As many many 2007 Es 350s are having the same problem, but there no recall. This a safety issue. I do not have a case open with the Lexus corporation but they are singing the same song as the dealer. I guess someone has to seriously injured or die like Es350 that had the acceleration problem to pay attention. Very sad.
The lower beam hid lights went out intermittently (sometimes left, sometimes right front-light). After stopping and turning off the ignition, the lights come on again after restarting the engine. A few times, both lights turned off at the same time, so that I was completely in the dark and I had to pull over and stop the car. After I replaced the bulbs, it improved for about 6 month. After that, the same problem started again this created some very scary situations, Especially when it happened when I drove at night on a dark freeway with heavy traffic and at high speed.
The "blue-tinged" high intensity lights on newer, expensive cars are a huge problem. I have to look away when one is coming at me. The beams are extremely bothersome. Other drivers I have talked to feel the same way. Why do you allow them on the road?.
