1 Other Fuel System problem of the 2025 Lexus ES

Failure Date: 02/20/2026

Fuel system and could be made available upon request. Explosion issue. No. Took it to the Lexus dealership where I bought it. No. When I got home I turned off the car. I later returned to my garage and it was filled with the strong odor of gasoline. The car was towed later that night to the dealership where it sat outside for 2 days. Dealership couldn't replicate the problem and gave me the car back. I did not imagine that smell. Even the tow company driver smelled the issue! I am fearful the issue could recur with catastrophic results.

2 Other Fuel System problem of the 2025 Lexus ES

Failure Date: 02/05/2026

I was driving with traffic in a 35 mph zone on a moderately busy street. I got the alert to brake and did so immediately. I collided with the Jeep in front of me. The airbags did not deploy. The front hood of the car tented and a fire immediately broke out under the hood. When a policeman arrived he attempted unsuccessfully to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher. The fire was eventually extinguished when the fire department arrived. The car was towed away. The insurance adjuster said the car was totaled.

3 Other Fuel System problem of the 2007 Lexus ES

While entering into a parking spot the car suddenly surged, went over a curb, and crashed into a store front. The driver had her foot on the brake. We checked to see if the floor mat was against the accelerator and it was not. I have a photo of the mat.

4 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Lexus ES

Failure Date: 07/19/2024

I started my vehicle and drove about 1/2 mile when the car started acting like it was running out of gas. I pulled over and got about 1gallon of gas in a gas can and put it in the vehicle. I turned the car back on and drove about 2 blocks when the vehicle started jumping like it was going to run out of gas again. The vehicle then shut down while I was driving it. I made it to the side of the road and put the vehicle in park and turned off the ignition with the push start button. I tried to start the vehicle again with the push start button and the vehicle would just try to start but just crank and not turn on. This ended up being a fault fuel pump. After some research I was able to find out Lexus had several thousand vehicles of the same year make and model recalled due to a faulty fuel pump that goes out while driving causing a dangerous driving condition which is exactly what occurred in my vehicle. I contacted Lexus and was told my vehicle was not included in the recall which I don’t understand due to the fact that my fuel pump went out while was driving. I am requesting this issue be investigated and the vehicle be added to the list of recalled vehicles with faulty fuel pumps.

8 Other Fuel System problem of the 2019 Lexus ES

Failure Date: 06/14/2021

I called sheehy Lexus of annapolis to get this recall addressed two weeks ago and they told me the parts are not available. I called again today and they told me the same thing. They do not know when the parts will be arriving. The letter they sent stated "if a vehicle stall occurs while driving, this could increase the risk of a crash". I am concerned that this is taking too long to remediate! brian jacobs cell: 443-758-8115 brianrjacobs1@gmail. Com.

17 Other Fuel System problem of the 2004 Lexus ES

Failure Date: 10/17/2014

On a Friday morning in October of 2014, I drove from DC to baltimore. The total driving time was closer to ninety minutes than the usual hour, the significance of this will become clear later in this message. Ten miles outside of baltimore, I did not feel well. Eventually pulling into my daughter's driveway, and feeling very faint, I managed to call my her via cellphone, right outside her kitchen window. I was so sick that I could not get out of the car. I felt utterly limp, dizzy and nauseous as my son-in-law pulled me out to stagger in the front door and collapse on the living room couch. The room was spinning; if I opened my eyes, the room tilted and spun faster. My kids called an ambulance. My vital signs - oxygen and blood pressure readings were within the low range of normal, with oxygen and blood pressure reading very low. I have no relevant health conditions. The amulance attendents thought it was "the flu". Eight or nine hours later, I managed to get up. In a few days I was back to normal and felt fine. Last Tuesday, January 19, it happened again. This time it took about five hours to recover. The drive had been just under an hour. I was sure, at this point: it has to be the car. It was. Next day I went to the mechanic, though he was entirely dubious about my conviction: carbon monoxide. A few hours later, he called to verify that the entire exhaust system, engine-to-tailpipe, was corroded and that, indeed, carbon monoxide had been leaking into the car. It is an old car by us standards - a 2004. It was a $2,000 repair job - a jolt, but I felt lucky. Would a smaller person - a teen or petite woman, have survived? would the cause of death even be discernible? how many deaths have we heard "asleep at the wheel"? push for legislation to require carbon monoxide sensors in cars!.

18 Other Fuel System problem of the 2013 Lexus ES

Failure Date: 07/13/2013

Lexus Es350 stall or hesitation problem on 2013 model. My car frequently but intermittently hesitates when accelerating from a stop or rolling stop position. I've had it about 8 months and it has probably stalled at least 100 times. Tulsa's Lexus dealership says there's nothing wrong with it and that Lexus designed the car that way for fuel efficiency (yes, that is what they've told me, and with a straight face). My 2010 Es did the same thing, and my 2007 Es did the same thing. You'd think I would have learned my lesson by now and bought a different brand of car. This is an extremely dangerous problem when pulling out into traffic. I would not recommend a Lexus to anyone until they get this problem fixed. 19 Other Fuel System problem of the 1996 Lexus ES

Failure Date: 05/28/2013

I smelled what I thought was transmission fluid or anti-freeze. The next day my wife smelled gas and some friends called my cell to tell me gas was running out from under the car. I could not find a leak under the car. I lifted the hood and found gas running down the side of the engine. After taking the Lexus cover off the engine, I found gas shooting straight up into the air. It was coming from a vacuum line that had popped off. I re-attached the line and started the engine. The line popped off and gas again shot straight into the air. I replaced the vacuum line. It stayed on but the gas ran through a nearby switch and onto the engine. It took me a while to figure out the gas should not be going through the vacuum line. The fuel pressure regulator had mal functioned and allowed the gas to go through the vacuum side of the regulator. While driving the regulator had allowed over 10 gallons of gas to pour directly over my engine. It bothers me how easy it would have been for the car, my wife and me to go up in flames. I would hate to have someone die because I failed to warn people of this defect. I do have the defective part.

20 Other Fuel System problem of the 2013 Lexus ES

Failure Date: 09/20/2012

Ever since car was purchased @one year ago, there are occasional 1-3 second hesitations upon acceleration. These occur from dead stop or at low speeds. Two dealers have examined the computers, finding no evidence that the problem exists. They also say no other local owner has complained of a similar problem and the manufacturer reportedly has no record of such a complainant nationwide. But a number of different passengers in the car have felt the hesitation and asked what's wrong. I wish I knew and I wish Lexus knew. Since this has happened many times when I was changing lanes on a surface street or the freeway (socal) or making left/right turns with oncoming traffic, my fear is that my vehicle is going to be hit, although I am as careful as I can be when changing lanes/turning because I know at any time the car will hesitate for a few seconds. I experienced this problem noticeably, as did other owners, with previous year models, but am assured by dealers and the local district office that Lexus has solved it now. I only wish!.

21 Other Fuel System problem of the 2007 Lexus ES

Failure Date: 05/17/2012

I am 100% sure I experienced sudden acceleration. Here are the facts: 1. Approximately 4-5 p. M. , I was eastbound on sepulveda blvd. , torrance, CA. (almost at the corner of arlington Ave) about to complete my last errand of the day to pick up a prescription at rite aid drug store. I turned right into the parking lot, noticed a spot on my left and decided to park there. The parking space was approximately 20-30 feet from the entrance and I proceeded to pull into it, easing up on the gas pedal and guiding my car into the space. My car was almost in the parking position, facing east and I was applying the brake to finalize the act. There was an empty parking space in front of my car, but there were parked cars to the left and to the right. 2. As I was applying the brake, and out of nowhere, the car accelerated, jumped an island in front of my car, and hit the two parked cars. I hit the front passenger side of car a and swerved to left, side swiping the left rear passenger side of car (b). All I could think about was steering clear of any people so I headed for a clear open space and in the process, my car jumped another island and I was headed straight for sepulveda blvd which is a main thoroughfare. Braking did not stop the car so I threw the gear into “park and it finally came to a stop. The location of the final stop was in the northeast corner of the parking lot, away from people. Thank god no one was hurt. I had nightmares thinking about what could have happened. This car was out of control. State farm has ruled that I am 51% at fault because I did not maintain control of the vehicle. Also I lost my excellent good driver safety discounts besides the lost value of the car. In addition, this incident represents the deadly force this car represents to public safety. It went through 2 recalls and still it presents clear and present danger.

22 Other Fuel System problem of the 2003 Lexus ES

Failure Date: 03/03/2010

1. The vehicle hesitates with initial acceleration (slow or quick acceleration). 2. The automatic transmission also hesitates. I suspect that ounce the acceleration problem is fixed that the transmission problem would be fixed. 3. I have gone to the Lexus dealer to update the computer with a new chip to help resolve the problems with no success. 4. I have discovered on the internet that hundreds of Lexus owners have the same complaint. In some cases the dealers have the audacity to suggest thats the way the car was designed! why isn't Lexus listening to all the complaints? thanks.
