I was driving and my car has a certain jerking motion to it, as I tried to break and accelerate the car wasn’t able to stop or move properly. As a result I rear ended the car in front of me. In addition to that my airbag wouldn’t go off after the accident so it seems like there was a malfunction. Lexus always assured me that all system ran well and that there was nothing wrong with the car. I made all necessary repairs they told me to make a despite my questions about the car being fully functional, they still didn’t warn me and told me that my car was fine every time I took it in or got work done on my car.

Authorized dealership service department (Toyota west/germain automotive group) performed structural repairs and released a vehicle back to me as safe. I operated this vehicle on public highways with my child. Upon subsequent inspection, the same dealership declared the vehicle a 'total loss' due to structural frame damage caused by their own technician. The dealership knowingly allowed a structurally compromised, unsafe vehicle to be driven off their lot without disclosing the safety risks.
Formal complaint: consumer fraud & safety violation dealership: germain Toyota west (columbus, OH) case reference: #[xxx] ?to the consumer protection division: ?I am filing a formal complaint regarding theft by deception, gross negligence, and reckless endangerment by this dealership. ?1. Theft & billing fraud on oct 24, 2025, the dealership charged me $455. 00 for labor to install rear sway bar links. I provided my own parts. The technician (maciah houpe) failed to install the parts but still charged me. He later admitted via text message: "I did not do your rear links. . . You didn't pay for rear links. " the dealership has refused to refund this money despite the written confession. ?2. Property destruction during the attempted repair, the technician used excessive force and bent the vehicle's "wheel rod" (tie rod), destroying the steering geometry. The technician later admitted to a witness that he was fired for "bending the wheel rod" on my vehicle. ?3. Reckless endangerment (safety violation) the dealership released the vehicle to my family on oct 26, representing it as "safe. " after a near-miss incident on [xxx] where the steering failed at highway speeds, management admitted to my wife that they knew the vehicle "might be lucky to make it to the north side" before failing. They knowingly released a vehicle with a critical safety defect onto a public highway. ?4. Retaliation when I contacted Toyota corporate to complain, the technician texted "you blew up the spot coming through Toyota. . . They can't help you. " the dealership then revoked a "cure offer" (towing/rental) purely as retaliation for my consumer complaint. ?attached evidence: please see the attached "master case brief" and "exhibit a" (pdfs). These contain the full legal timeline and the text message logs where the employee confesses to the theft and damage. ?I have served the dealership a notice of intent to sue. I am requesting an immediate investigation into this franchise's billing fraud information redacted pursuant to the freedom of inform.
The front control arms, their bushings and ball joints are failing. My car only has 125k miles on it, but it drifts and bounces around as if there is no struts at all. It is very scary to drive, it feels like something terrible is about to happen like a wheel snapping off and causing accident. I took it to several mechanics. They say it will cost $1,700k to replace one control arm! $3,400k for both. The rubber bushings are completely deteriorated due to the rubber being bad. (my dashboard is also melting, and the rubber weather stripping on all of the doors/windows).

I was driving home from work & just before 5pm I hit a section of the side of the road that has deteriorated on sr 68 between tecumseh high school & lynnville, in. It blew out the inner wall of my tire & I had to get it replaced. I have seen this happen to other drivers on this road as well. The road needs to be repaired before someone gets seriously injured. This incident caused me to replace all 4 of my tires prematurely. Please repair the road - there are at least 2 areas that need to be repaired.

The braking, steering and suspension components are malfunctioning and are extremely rusted. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My safety as well as my passengers, other motorists and pedestrians with children and pets on the roads and highways safety is compromised due to the vehicle violently and unexpectedly pulling left and right, losing contact with the road over rough road surfaces and shaking uncontrollably during deceleration. I cannot state with certainty that the dealerships have reproduced the problem and I have not been given written permission to take my vehicle to an independent service center after numerous complaints. I cannot confirm that the vehicle or components have been inspected by the manufacturer, however no police, or insurance representatives have inspected my vehicle. There were no warning lamps or messages displayed on my vehicle's instrument panels, however, there were symptoms such as shaking, rattling, uncomfortable and uncharacteristic handling and a feeling of a serious problem or defect prior to the suspension lower arm assembly being replaced and diagnosis of broken steering column bushings, circa 2021. As of today, the low tire pressure light stays on constantly.

Was driving in west sacramento , when the check engine, check hybrid system alarms went off. Within 1 minute , the car went dead, no power, no steering. If I was on an express way , it would have been a guaranteed fatality for me, my family and other cars involved. The dealership , Lexus of sacramento told me the computer failed in the car. The car has only 55000 miles on it. I am concerned about the quality of parts used by Lexus.

Vehicle due for regular, periodic service at Lexus of manhattan. Arrived @ 07:00. At 09:35 service manager informed us of serious problems with the rotors, brakes, and alignment. Said they had completed the alignment and cautioned the vehicle would have to subsequently have major braking system repairs. Vehicle was leased new in may 2011. Had never exhibited a single problem. Was driven ~98% highways. Always garaged. Never parked on a city street. This Lexus either is a "lemon" or the dealer is fabricating the truth. Problems reported to Lexus. Response: "the problems with the vehicle are not covered and must have resulted from your misusing the vehicle. " in effect, Lexus is taking their dealer's side in this situation leaving the door open to this complaint to the federal authorities. This situation is pure nonsense and either the vehicle is a "lemon" or the dealer was "up-selling" an unnecessary repair. Lexus has refused to authorize this vehicle be inspected by their own technicians. Thus Lexus customer satisfaction (the people with whom I was speaking at Lexus) is putting itself into the position of admitting there is something wrong with their vehicle but they will not even investigate their dealer's findings! something is (again) very wrong with the people from Toyota!.
Driving south on florida turnpike, car suddenly accelerated --unable to steer it or slow it down--had to get off highway to avoid collision --turned wheel to right and slid across swale into thicket of trees want to get a used Lexus to replace this be but am afraid of safety issues now.
Bought my car in 2008, since 2012 my dashboards is very sticking because is melting, by that time my guarantee was active because I paid extra to extend it. For the first time in 2012 I call the office of Lexus to inform the problem, my customer service representative told me to bring the car in to check the problem and to make the appointment to leave the car, I thought that it was included on the guarantee, and he told ne no, he told ne that maybe the Lexus would help me to lower the price, but that I had to pay, and I said no thank you I don't have the money. After that the dashboard got worst, and I call back on April 2013 to talk to my customer service representative, and he was transferred to another department, at that point I told the representative the problem, and it got worst to the point that is very difficult to drive when is sunny, he told me that my guarantee it was expired and that I had to pay to fix it. But I don't think is fair that after I paid $40,000. 00 for my car I have to paid to fix it, when it should be a recall for the Lexus with this problem.
I received a safty recall notice from Lexus indicating my engine crankshft pulley may loose and cause loss of power steering. I called Lexus and they said I had to take the vehicle to a Lexus dealer. Since there isn't a Lexus dealer in my hometown they informed me that the closest dealers were at least 150 miles from my home. I bought the car at a local used car dealership that is no longer in business. I asked if they could certify my local Toyota dealer to do the inspection and they said no. If this defect is on my vehicle it would be unsafe to drive 150 miles to get to their certified dealer. If there is an accident on my way to the inspection who is liable? they will be. I want them to accomodate me by certifying the local Toyota dealer to do an inspection for me.
