Visibility Problems of Lexus ES

The contact owns a 2007 Lexus Es350. The contact stated that the dashboard had started to melt due to sun exposer and that an abnormal, burning plastic odor could be smelled inside the vehicle. The contact also stated that a glare would emit from the melting dashboard that would obstruct the contact's vision while driving at various speeds. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer and the dealer were informed of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Lexus Es350. The contact stated while driving approximately 55 mph the dashboard was sticky with a glare and shiny. The contact stated the material caused visibility issues. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was repaired before for TSB: l-sb-0011-15 however the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure; however, was not of assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 145,000.

Wife was operating the driver window in our Lexus Es 350. The driver window crashed down into the driver door panel momentarily startling her. She swerved into oncoming traffic. I had a technician pull off the door panel and the plastic mounting tabs on the window regulator and the plastic mounting tabs on the window had disintegrated. According to the Lexus owners web site this is a common problem on all 2007-2008 Lexus Es 350 models. Lexus will not cover this problem unless still under the 4 year warranty. Concern about very bright white head lamps on some newer autos. They tend to blind on coming drivers because of their brightness. According to dr isadore rosenfeld they can trigger migraine headaches. This is a road hazard and can lead to an accident.
