The child seat was installed by the latch system. The seatbelt retracted and locked, but would not extend even after the vehicle was turned off. The seat belt was cut in order to release the hold on the child's neck. The service dealer had no solution, but offered to replace the seat belt. The contact was treated for emotional trauma. The manufacturer was not notified.

Rear seat belt buckle in the seat cannot be fastened without holding the buckle to snap in place. To keep the seat buckle from reclining back into the rear seat passengers has to use both hand to fasten the seat belt. When passenger's sit in the rear seats they find it difficult to fasten the seat belt. They have difficulty in locking the buckle.
