Contacting Lexus/Toyota about this and they refused to provide any assistance to rectify this problem. The problem is not bad in the winter time. But with ambient temperatures above 40 degrees f and with the sun shining in the car windshield the dashboard melts and becomes shiny and sticky causing driver vision issues. Have contacted manufactures customer service and local dealers for past six months with no help from others. Auto is low millage 65,000 and is garaged when at home. Located in midwest. This is more than a cosmetic interior issue, as it causes the drive to have impaired operation of vehicle and should mandate a recall.

I don't remember the first time I reported it to Lexus because I don't have the paperwork with me at this time. I have reported problem several times with Lexus of America. I have taken the vehicle twice to Lexus dealer with no avail. The issue is that the dashboard is melting and falling apart. Due to the melting when im driving during the day I can't see clearly because of the glare in the windshield. This is a driving hazard. It gets worst and worst. I have read many complaints but no recall. I notified progressive ins to see if they would cover it but they won't. Please I would really appreciate any help. Hood has completely faded. According to body shops, must be a deficit. Gloss on top of hood completely gone. Car was only 3 years old. This should not happen to a Lexus.
