Other Fuel System problem #1

During highway driving speeds low pressure fuel pump is showing symptoms of issues. Car will cut off while driving and requires 12v battery reset. Low pressure fuel pump will make noise similar to a “ humming “ noise from underneath rear seats of the vehicle. Lexus corporate is refusing to perform and include my 2016 Lexus Gs-f for the open recall. Lexus manufacturer recall id : 26lb05 ; NHTSA recall id : 26v222.

Other Fuel System problem #2

Lexus issued a recall on fuel pressure sensor. The vehicle was taken to dealership to remedy the issue. The recalled part failed again. Lexus refused to fix the defective part.

Other Fuel System problem #3

Car parked in driveway; started engine, shifted into gear, and before I even accelerated, the engine roared and the car lunged forward. Lexus traveled approximmately 50 feet and crashed into the neighbor's concrete wall across the street. I was injured (broken ribs, etc. ) and the car was totaled. When reporting accident to insurance company (usaa) I asked representative to have car inspected due to accident circumstances. I do not know if they did an inspection as I was in hospital and at home recuperating. No prior issue of this type.

Other Fuel System problem #4

My Lexus Gs430 has a fuel rail leak that is leaking into the engine bay and has a strong smell of fuel into the cabin of the car. It is especially strong in the cabin when the heat or air conditioning is utilized. It is extremely dangerous and after researching I have found that it a problem with several of the Lexus lines of cars built around the 2006-2008 models.

Other Fuel System problem #5

Car wouldn’t start. Had it diagnosed and found out my fuel pressure sensor had melted and was leaking fuel had it replaced bug still smell gas in and around car. Car was under recalm for same issue years back and was serviced at the dealership. So I don’t see how im liable for repairs if it was a problem when the car came off the assembly line.

Other Fuel System problem #6

Fuel economy became very poor. Following day had a check engine light for car running lean. Went to fill up car at gas station, and after it was filled it would not start and just crank. After 5 attempts and throttling the gas pedal the car began to sputter and finally started. Car was then parked after moving to a safe location.

Other Fuel System problem #7

2008 Gs350 - 129k miles - 1 owner looking for input on whether/how to proceed as this is now a multi-year problem (2019- 2021). My 2008 Lexus Gs350 had the following recalls (all fuel and engine related): NHTSA campaign 18v432000; NHTSA campaign number: 14v647000 NHTSA campaign 09v020000; NHTSA campaign 10v309000 before the last fuel assembly recall work was out of warranty 2019, I started experiencing an extreme fuel odor after a decline and each time car was started (noticeable only with windows down). No warning lights, system reported no issues. Independent mechanic found a leaking fuel injector (port on that side is "clean". ) (Lexus dealerships found no issues). Replaced fuel injector, no change in fuel smell, strong as ever. Neither Lexus or independent mechanic can determine what is wrong. Pandemic happened and I only drive the car once a week to the grocery store, strong fuel smell on startup still happens. (haven't been on any incline/declines). 5/9/21, filled gas tank, started car, made 2 stops before heading home, "check engine, check vsc" and a myriad of lights came up on dash. (total of 3 startups after filling tank, lights came on after 3rd start). Code comes up - p0430 - catalyst system efficiency below threshold bank 2 all the fuel related symptoms & issues can't be a coincidence. 2 fuel assembly recalls, fuel smell, leaking fuel injector, continued fuel smell, now catalytic converter issue even though car is barely used in the last year.

Other Fuel System problem #8

Smell of gas in the main cabin all of the sudden when driving on a city street. Upon exiting car, smell of gas coming from engine compartment.

Other Fuel System problem #9

Fuel smell seeming to originate from under the hood.

Other Fuel System problem #10

I recently received an "important safety recall" notice from Lexus on a car that we had traded in on a new Lexus at the Lexus dealership in bossier city, louisiana in 2012. I called the national number for Lexus to tell them that I no longer owned this car. They said that their records showed me to be the last owner of record, and said that their information came from the state of louisiana. . Read more...
