Brake Disc Rotor problems of the 2000 Lexus GS300

Two problems related to brake disc rotor have been reported for the 2000 Lexus GS300. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Failure Date: 04/17/2003

The vehicles brake pads were at 8% but the brakes were making a grinding noise. The dealership indicated that this was caused by a brake/rotor failure.

2 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2001

Vehicle purchased used from jm Lexus with 9,800 miles. Within the first 4 months of ownership the vehicle was taken to the dealership 5 times to rectify a front end vibration at highway speeds. During the five visits the vehicle had the tires rebalanced, front brake rotors resurfaced, alignment, new tires installed, realignment, recalibration of the steering rack, tires removed and rebalanced and new brake rotors installed.
