One problem related to front suspension lower control arm has been reported for the 2000 Lexus GS300. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Lower ball joint on the suspension came apart causing the tire to dislodge. Tire jammed against right front quarter panel causing body damage. Car is in the shop right now with estimated repair costs of $1,500. 00 excluding body damage estimates. I thank god I was only doing 15mph at the time when the day before I did a 236 mile round trip drive through highway mountain roads.
