I had a 2006 Lexus GS 300, leased, for 3 years, my third Lexus lease. The seatbelts in the front wouldn't release from their holder, I'd have to pull on them for 10 minutes before releasing. To me that was a safety issue. I complained several times to dealer, their response was that I didn't know how to put my seatbelt on, finally I called Toyota, and they replaced the seatbelt, then it happened again, and again . I think they replaced belts three times, I finally found out that there was some recall or campaign on the seatbelts which they didn't make me aware of, kept telling me it was my fault ! I wonder how may more complaints there were regarding the seatbelt situation !!!!.
Seat belt recall November, 2006. Seat belts replace, still not retracting. Dealer replaced seat belts again and still do not retract. Lexus and dealer have not resolved this serious safety issue. I called Lexus' California facility on 9-13-07 as well as many other times. Lexus has still not corrected the problem.
