One problem related to adaptive equipment has been reported for the 2006 Lexus GS300. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Passenger and driver rear view mirrors fail to come back to level position after backing up. The ocurrence is random, so it become a hazard as you might think it has leveled but it actually has not. It many cases I've trying to change lanes in the highway only to realize that in the last second of decision I cannot see anything because the mirror is pointing down. Dealer says they cannot reproduce the problem but acknkowledge defects on the mechanism. Passenger side was replaced before warranty expired. However it has already broken again along with the driver side.
