Four problems related to wiper have been reported for the 2006 Lexus GS300. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving on a freeway at speed limit my vehicle started leaning to the left and pulling to the right without me turning the steering wheel or making any turns, which almost resulted in a vehicular accident. Shortly after my windshield wipers went off without me turning them on and my gas gauge which at the time read about 3/4 of a tank went down to about 1/8.
Inside auto dimming rear view mirror turning black.
The contact owns a 2006 Lexus Gs300. The contact stated that the interior rear view mirror became discolored and developed numerous scratches over a period of time which distorted the vision. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 18,000.
The front window rear view mirror coating has come off from the inside of the mirror and has very very poor reflective qualities. With approx. 60% - 70% of the reflective mirror coating gone it makes it almost impossible to see what's behind you using this mirror and could definitely contribute or cause a accident. The dealer said this happens to this make and model but did not say they would replace it and said the approx. Cost for this mirror (I cant remember the exact cost) is around $800 or more dollars (expensive because of the electronics that are inside the rear view mirror). Please let me know if there has been more complaints about this car part or what can be done to have the dealer replace the mirror at no cost. Thanks.
