3 Power Train problem of the 2006 Lexus GS300

Failure Date: 03/01/2018

I have a problem with my 2006 Gs300 that I purchased new, I'm the original owner and have my car regularly serviced. Back in 2013 I had my transmission replaced by Lexus of westminster at about 80,000 miles, I was shocked when recently while driving my car starts to pull whenever I start braking whether I'm going slow or fast, I get an extra thump. I took my car to the Lexus of cerritos who stated I need my transmission replaced again. My car only has 169,000 miles on it. So that would make this the 3rd transmission. I feel like I have a lemon car. I have replaced the headlights excessively, I have replaced ecu sensors and even tire pressure sensors as well as starter. I don't believe I should have to replace my transmission so often, I am not a hard driver and the last transmission was replaced less than 60,000 miles ago. I have read in online forums where others have experienced the same issues on their 2006 GS. I am a previous owner of a 1988 Lexus Gs300 that I had for almost 300,000 miles and never replaced a engine let alone a transmission. Please investigate I feel hopeless.

4 Power Train problem of the 2006 Lexus GS300

Car started jerking on the highway cause a rear end bumper collision while intraffic.

5 Power Train problem of the 2006 Lexus GS300

Failure Date: 10/20/2016

2006 GS 300 is experiencing a down shift problem, when coming to a complete stop on highway or street the car transmission bumps slightly then jerks hard prior to completely stopping. Lexus suggested replacing the transmission which already took place at 80k. I noted a technical bulletin stated this problem within 80k but the problem that's occurring after 80k. If the problem existed in my GS only, I'd fix the problem and move forward but I've read a few articles from different Lexus owners siting the same issue which leads me to believe this is a pre existing issue that I believe Lexus should take responsibility for before passing the cost on to customers that paid out close to 50k for this car.

6 Power Train problem of the 2006 Lexus GS300

Failure Date: 09/20/2016

When I go to apply the brakes or of I'm coasting slow, the car jerks twice(once while the car is slowing down, and a harder jerk right before the car stops) every Lexus forum I visited where people had 2006 Lexus Gs300 awd's(with the same exact symptoms), they were mis-diagnosed being told it was their transmission, when in actuality it was their ecu that needed to be replaced. That is a computer failure, so I don't understand why there aren't recalls on this.

7 Power Train problem of the 2006 Lexus GS300

Failure Date: 06/15/2016

Intermittent loss of acceleration 0-5 miles than car accelerates~ dealer unable to find problem due to no codes for that problem, instead it took code in history for a selinoid and said car needs transmission at 124,000. While going across 5 lane crossing, light turned yellow, I push pedal to accelerate car and acceleration did not occur, it took 3-5 seconds to accelerate and then took off. On highway in traffic, if car idles 0-5 in slow traffic, car feels like it will cut off, but the catches power after a hard press on gas pedal. Most of driving is city street, car is now turning off in drive and reverse intermittent. Car is surging during low acceleration.
