One problem related to engine failure has been reported for the 2007 Lexus GS350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I bought a pre-owned certified 2007 Lexus GS 350 in sept 2010, I was driving on a major highway when I heard a pop and the engine lost power. Luckily I was able to move to the corner lane to avoid a tractor trailor hitting me from behind. The car was then towed to the nearest Lexus dealer, I was told by that dealer that a recall was performed just prior to my purchase of the vehicle and some screws were missing from the repair. Which cause an engine failure while I was driving. The Lexus dealer that I bought the car from, insists they fix the new engine, the car was then towed to the Lexus dealer from whom I purchased the vehicle. Now they are saying a chain was cut in the engine and they will just replace the chain and not the entire engine, I was expecting a new engine.
