The contact owns a 2016 Lexus Gx 460 . The contact stated while driving 10 mph attempting to make a right turn into his garage, the brake pedal was applied, however the vehicle failed to respond and crashed into wall in the garage. The vehicle was towed to an autobody repair facility by the insurance company where the vehicle body damages were repaired but the brake failure was not diagnosed. The contact stated that he inquired at the repair facility and was informed that there was no issue with the brakes. The contact stated that he drove home home with no issues however, the next day while leaving his driveway the brake pedal was depressed and failed to engage and the emergency brakes had to be applied in order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where no failure cause could be determined and the dealer informed the contact to call Lexus customer service. The manufacturer was notified and a case was opened. The contact stated that a Lexus engineer retrieved the vehicle's edr however, they found no issues with the braking system. The failure mileage was 53,537.
