1 Body problem of the 2025 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 09/15/2025

The driver side mirror shakes around 45 to 50 miles an hour plus. The passenger side mirror at the same speeds stays true and does not vibrate. While I am driving mostly on the highway the driver side mirror shakes or bounces up and down which distorts the images behind me. It is a safety concern where I am getting dizzy while driving. I brought the car back to the dealership Lexus of pembroke pines, and they replaced the entire mirror assembly, but it is having the same problem again. The car is not even two weeks old. The constant vibration is a legitimate safety concern and prevents me from safely operating this vehicle.

2 Body problem of the 2004 Lexus GX

3 Body problem of the 2006 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 02/01/2025

I am reporting a serious paint peeling and delamination issue on my 2006 Lexus Gx470, painted in blizzard pearl (paint code 070). The clear coat and base coat are separating from the body, especially on the hood, roof, and other exposed panels. The paint is flaking off in large sections and continues to deteriorate. Lexus and Toyota have acknowledged this as a known manufacturing defect for several vehicles painted in blizzard pearl under customer support program zkg. However, my vehicle was not included in the recall or program despite showing the exact same failure pattern and paint code. This paint issue significantly affects the safety of the vehicle’s structure (exposing metal to the elements) and visibility, and may impact resale and long-term durability. This is clearly a widespread issue that should be addressed for all affected vehicles, regardless of production year.

8 Body problem of the 2008 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 11/30/2022

This 2008 Lexus Gx 470 (VIN: jtjbt20x680154360) has paint primer adhesion failure exposing bare metal. Color code is 070 blizzard pearl. The peeling starts at the primer/e-coat substrate layer, not clear coat. This matches the documented failure mode in Lexus csp zll / l-sb-0046-19. The exposed metal creates corrosion risk on the roof and body shell over time, which is a safety concern. Lexus refused goodwill correction because my VIN production date was slightly outside the cutoff, even though the failure is identical to affected units and repair was already estimated at $10,047. 96 by a Lexus certified collision center. I am reporting this as a safety corrosion exposure issue due to primer adhesion defect.

9 Body problem of the 2004 Lexus GX

10 Body problem of the 2007 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 10/25/2021

Paint is chipping and flying off while driving. Safety hazard for other drivers as well as myself. Bare metal is showing on every body panel and only getting worse. The paint recall needs to be extended to earlier year models as it is affecting these vehicles as well. I am an estimator from a repair facility. Multiple vehicles with the tri coat white are experiencing these issues.

11 Body problem of the 2005 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 09/03/2021

Bought the vehicle new and has always been maintained by a dealer and mostly garage kept. We took it in to a local garage owner for air conditioning repair and he says we have a bigger problem and do we want to spend the money. The frame under the car is rusted through to the point of possibly snapping in half. We climbed under the car to confirm and took pictures. No warning, no recall and never a word from a dealer. I contacted Lexus and all they would say is there are no recalls for this vehicle and because of its age nothing and no compensation is required. Kbb says the vehicle is worth approximately $10,000 but the fact is that it’s not saleable. In good conscience we couldn’t sell this vehicle to anyone! Toyota had a recall on the same frame, why was there none on this vehicle?.

15 Body problem of the 2004 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 09/23/2019

2004 Lexus Gx 470. Has frame rot due to the condinsation hose released on top of the passanger side frame. It runs down the passanger side frame and put holes in it due to inproper placement. Now the passanger side door is slighly out of alignment when closed. I have had to wrapp steel around the frame. From front door to front of back wheel. Contacted Lexus at 1800-255-3987 in plano texas for case number 1909231360. Then said only a minor warranty for corresion and it is not covered. Also the person on the phone refused to give me Toyota headquarters mailing address. This rust is on top of the frame and I believe would take 10-15 years to show up. There is now many holes in only the passanger side frame. Here are pictures picture 6100 shows the hose over the frame. Is it possiable the car could brake when driving.

16 Body problem of the 2007 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 01/01/2019

2007 Lexus Gx470 peeling blizzard pearl (070) paint color across entire vehicle (roof, sides, hood, doors, etc. . ). Lexus has acknowledged this issue is present in 2008-2009 Gx470s, but our 2007 is not covered for repair even though it suffers the same issue. We have had estimates from Lexus body shop (local houston dealership) for ~$10,000+ to repair.

18 Body problem of the 2014 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 09/08/2014

The vehicle is leaning to the right side all the time, I take it to fix to time already, and the first time the said the change some spring, so now they said its nothing to fix, I call Lexus and spoke with some manager . And also she doesn't have any solution , so now they said the going to sent someone to check the vehicle so it's like they don't trust of the dealer mechanics, or I don't know because the manager also talk with the services guy on the dealer where I take my car in conference call, so now I waiting to see what it's coming out now because if they already said its nothing to repair and the car it will be like that, if that happens in a brand new car what do you can expect by years, so I hope the come out with a good solution that can benefit the customer , I don't want to have a uneven car, also I risk my live driving a car like that.

19 Body problem of the 2004 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 01/01/2014

2004 Lexus Gx470 factory-installed blizzard white paint is peeling off in sheets. Was told by certified body shop that there is a clear defect with the primer. The areas affected are the hood, roof, and near back windows - no impact or other damage is present. This is unsafe as it will lead to the corrosion of the body of the car. There was a recall for the 2008-2009 models with this paint color, but this needs to be extended to the 2004 model year as well. There were no warning messages and the car is available for inspection.

20 Body problem of the 2013 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 06/01/2013

I bought the 2013 Lexus Gx460 on 5-31-13. After driving it for a day, it seemed as if I had a flat tire on the front passenger side because the hood seemed lower on the passenger side as I was driving. I pulled over to check and everything seemed fine. Later as my vehicle was parked in my garage I noticed standing from behind that the passenger side was indeed lower than the driver side. My husband measured it to make sure and it was one inch lower on the passenger side. We took the car in to service and they kept it for three days. They returned it to us in the exact same condition. I took it back a second time to explain that they must fix the problem. The car is lopsided and feels unsafe to drive. I feel as if I am going to flip over on right turns. They told me the body is lopsided but the undercarriage measurements show 3/4 of an inch difference and that it is not a problem. I am hoping that somebody will look into this. It seems odd to me that I would buy a brand new car and have to settle with driving it lopsided. I don't think that it is safe. I know it is definitely uncomfortable. I am constantly leaning to the left as I drive to avoid the gravitational pull to the right. This cannot be right. Oh and by the way the service manager told me this is an ongoing problem they have with the Gx. We are not the first ones to complain about this problem. Hoping there is someway you can look into this. I hope they can fix it. If not, I do expect a full refund.
