1 Suspension problem of the 2025 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 09/02/2025

My Gx550 is vibrating at all speeds. I took my Gx550 in for service on September 2, 2025 at butler Lexus in union city, GA, because of the vibration in my Gx. They did a wheel alignment and a force road wheel balancing but this did not solve the problem. On September 3, 2025 I took my Gx550 to discount tires in douglasville, GA, where they took off all the old weight including the new ones that were added by butler Lexus. I found no improvement as I drove home. I took my Gx550 back to discount tires, I asked them to check the tires and wheels. I was informed by one of the tech at discount tires that the my wheels are marginally out of round and I should let Lexus know to check the suspension. I was told by butler Lexus service department that discount tires was grasping at straws. I spoke with Lexus corporate September 19, 2025, they informed me that butler Lexus service department informed me that my vehicle is suppose to operate with vibrations, that could felt in the steering wheel and seats. I asked for someone from Lexus to come out and inspect the vehicle. At first I was told that Lexus doesn’t do that. Then I was told she would check into it. Also Lexus never addressed the the transmission hard shifts that I reported.

4 Suspension problem of the 2007 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 06/17/2019

When attempting to stop my vehicle, I started feeling a huge clunk towards the rear of my Lexus Gx 470. Now I feel it when driving and while it is sitting in park. Had I known that this was such a wide spread issue, I never would have purchased this vehicle. Something needs to be done before someone gets hurt or worse.

5 Suspension problem of the 2003 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 07/01/2018

Frame is rotting from inside out, excessive corrosion. This is a known issue that was common to the early/mid 2000's Toyota tundra, tacoma, and 4runner, the latter of which shares frame components. Toyota, for whatever reason, covered the tundra and tacoma through recalls, but so far has not done a recall on the 4runner or Gx470.

6 Suspension problem of the 2014 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 10/29/2016

My entire vehicle lean excessively to the right side, I took it into the dealership and they said that's normal and within the vehicle spec. Second issued when vehicle is in motion and the brake applied the driver seat move about 1/4 inch they said that's also normal. Never heard of that's normal for the seat to move forward and that's is safety.

7 Suspension problem of the 2014 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 05/01/2016

I have a 2014 Lexus Gx 460 which has an obvious lean to the right/passenger side. The passenger side sits approximately 1" lower in the front. When I brake the vehicle pulls hard to the right every time. This is a safety concern for me due not knowing if the vehicle will overturn if involved in an accident/hard braking. It is also a concern that parts will eventually wear quicker on the passenger side of the vehicle due to the substantial lean causing safety concerns down the road. I have taken the vehicle to a certified Lexus dealer who advises that Lexus issued a service bulletin for this exact issue. Lexus further advised me that they are aware of the problem but my lean was not in Lexus specifications to be fixed with the new part that Lexus has already engineered to fix this problem. They further advised me that I can bring the vehicle back at a later date and they will remeasure the lean to see if it falls under the repair/replace bulletin. If it gets worse by the mileage dead line then I can get it fixed if not I am told that nothing can be done. It is my option that this vehicle has a valid safety concern due to the vehicle leaning to one side. This large and heavy SUV is already a top heavy vehicle and Lexus clearly knows that it is an issue due to the service bulletin that they put out.

9 Suspension problem of the 2014 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 09/08/2014

The vehicle is leaning to the right side all the time, I take it to fix to time already, and the first time the said the change some spring, so now they said its nothing to fix, I call Lexus and spoke with some manager . And also she doesn't have any solution , so now they said the going to sent someone to check the vehicle so it's like they don't trust of the dealer mechanics, or I don't know because the manager also talk with the services guy on the dealer where I take my car in conference call, so now I waiting to see what it's coming out now because if they already said its nothing to repair and the car it will be like that, if that happens in a brand new car what do you can expect by years, so I hope the come out with a good solution that can benefit the customer , I don't want to have a uneven car, also I risk my live driving a car like that.

10 Suspension problem of the 2013 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 06/01/2013

I bought the 2013 Lexus Gx460 on 5-31-13. After driving it for a day, it seemed as if I had a flat tire on the front passenger side because the hood seemed lower on the passenger side as I was driving. I pulled over to check and everything seemed fine. Later as my vehicle was parked in my garage I noticed standing from behind that the passenger side was indeed lower than the driver side. My husband measured it to make sure and it was one inch lower on the passenger side. We took the car in to service and they kept it for three days. They returned it to us in the exact same condition. I took it back a second time to explain that they must fix the problem. The car is lopsided and feels unsafe to drive. I feel as if I am going to flip over on right turns. They told me the body is lopsided but the undercarriage measurements show 3/4 of an inch difference and that it is not a problem. I am hoping that somebody will look into this. It seems odd to me that I would buy a brand new car and have to settle with driving it lopsided. I don't think that it is safe. I know it is definitely uncomfortable. I am constantly leaning to the left as I drive to avoid the gravitational pull to the right. This cannot be right. Oh and by the way the service manager told me this is an ongoing problem they have with the Gx. We are not the first ones to complain about this problem. Hoping there is someway you can look into this. I hope they can fix it. If not, I do expect a full refund.

11 Suspension problem of the 2011 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 09/04/2011

New Lexus Gx460 has a vibration in the steering wheel at freeway speed. The vibration can cause the vehicle to drift into the next lane. The dealer attempted to balance the existing wheels and tires two times. This did not work. The dealer then replaced the wheels and tires. This did not work. Dealer called Toyota tech. All steering, wheel, and suspension parts were checked and found to be ok. Car still has the same vibration, and is still at the dealer. Car is dangerous to drive in this condition.

12 Suspension problem of the 2004 Lexus GX

Failure Date: 07/01/2011

At start up the rear height goes up and stays up. Took it to the shop and they manually bled the air. Said sensor go out all the time and cost a lot to replace. Currently staying level but rides a little tight. Definitely don't want to pay $3000 for a fix.
