When driving the vehicle at an undetermined speed steering wheel failed, causing driver to lose control the vehicle, and hit another vehicle going 50 mph. Consumer towed the vehicleto dealer to be inspected, and mechanic determined that steering column bolt snapped.
Lexus Gx470 has a vibration in the front end and steering wheel at speeds from 10 to 70 mph. Dealer made aware of problem at 1,000 and 5,000 mile check but they were unable to correct the problem. Dealer called the problem "road groan. ".
When applying the brakes while driving at 60 mph, the steering wheel vibrates and the vehicle shakes. Dealer cannot determine the cause of the problem. There was a persistent vibration in the steering and it was hard to turn the steering wheel.
