Carrier/rack problems of the 2006 Lexus IS

This Is in regards to dashboard stickiness, cracking and windshield glare/reflection. Also the door panels. The understanding Lexus Issued warranty enhancement now they indicate the program has expired. We jut purchased the vehicle for our 16 year old daughter and this Is major concerns since it had safety impact in my mind due to the glaring and possible impact to the air bag due to the workmanship flaw that Lexus Is admitting to. Dashboard and door panels are liquefying. The melting dashboard Is creating a haze on the windshield that's obtrusive for safe driving. The door panels are cracking every where.

Under heated conditions dash becomes very sticky. Door panels are melting, cracking and falling apart.

Dash and black parts of doors are melting, cracking, and pieces are falling off. When driving and in sun dash gets very shiny and reflects onto windshield. Concerned about the integrity of the dash and possible affect it could have on the air bags.

Dashboard and side interior door panels appear to be melting and cracking. Lexus agreed to partially pay for replacement of the dashboard, to which I had to agree because of safety concerns. Dashboard would reflect light, causing problems seeing out of the windshield. Lexus also agreed to partially pay for door panels, but because my cost would still have been over $1500, I could not accept their offer. I was told at the dealer that they had never seen this, which I later came to find out this was an ongoing problem. A service bulletin was Issued months prior that I was never notified about.

Sun causes shiny dash which results in a safety Issue with resulting excessive glare on the windshield. Cracks and splitting in dash may result in possible degradation to the passenger front air bag because the cracks and splits in dash could potentially cause the airbags to deploy.

Sticky / melting dash, dash cracking, all door panels melting and cracking staining clothes when comes in contact with. Both problems creating a glare when driving. I bought this car new and Lexus would not stand behind their product knowing its defective, even when it was under the bumper to bumper and Lexus brand extended warranty. The car Is under the sun 1 hr per day while driving. Vehicle Is in a garage both at home and work and this still happened.
