Cost to repair Is $3,600 with Lexus of carlsbad. $2,000 for the part alone and $1,600 for labor. This seems like a safety related manufacturing defect that Lexus will not take responsibility for.

The contact also stated that the recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 16v340000 (air bags) was received in may 2016. After contacting the dealer on multiple occasions, the contact was informed that the parts needed to repair the vehicle were still not available and no estimated time for receiving the parts could be given. The failure mileage was 52,000.
