The problem I am experiencing pertains to the dash of my Lexus Is 250. The dash cover has melted, most likely due to exposure to heat during sunny days. This melting dash has created a dangerous situation, as it causes a glaring reflection on the windshield, impairing my vision while driving. This glare poses a significant safety risk to both my and other road users, especially during sunny days when the reflection becomes more pronounced. My primary concern Is that despite being aware of this safety Issue and having conducted a recall, Lexus has chosen to put a deadline on addressing this problem. This approach contradicts the fundamental principle of ensuring the safety and well-being of Lexus vehicle owners and other road users. The melting dash Issue Is a manufacturing fault, and it should be addressed regardless of when it manifests itself.
The rear view mirror has become unusable- mirror has black scratches all over on the inside & keeps getting worse. Do a google search & you'll find 100s of complaints on forums & chats. It's 1500 bux to get this replaced & it's not a users fault! Lexus has fully aware of this for years & never did a recall. I can't see from this mirror at all & def. Not at night. If I get in a wreck, it will be 100% on Lexus!.
Melted dash board.
Over time, the rearview mirror has darkened with black spots and lines making it difficult to see during the day. Lexus Is aware of the problem, but will not replace the mirror without a recall. The defect can be seen on rearview mirrors for sale on ebay. I was advised by Lexus service that if it doesn't pass safety check inspection to stick on a temporary mirror. They know there Is a problem and it Is a safety Issue. There must be a recall before someone dies. I find myself looking longer into the mirror, taking my eyes off the road, to discern the traffic behind. I took pictures, but on ebay, if you look close, you can see the spotting and lines on the used mirrors for sale. It's not an Isolated incident. Especially by the compass in the right hand side there are noticeable parallel diagonal lines. The rest of the mirror Is spotty with lines and dark.
The dashboard melting when the vehicle was in motion and stationary. Melting dashboard creates a glare in the windshield and makes it impossible to see when driving during the day. Additionally, toxic fumes from melting dashboard make it difficult to breathe when driving.
Dashboard and door panels are melting to the point that (short) nails get stuck every time we drive. Car Is parked under a roof and it’s still melting. Poor visibility due to shine.
The driver seat makes a loud noise when moving back and forth to adjust the position. Vibratation Is strong when you come to a stop and it feels like the car will die out. And dangerous to drive on a sunny day because of the glare from the dashboard. I have called dealership with no luck.
I have recently purchased a preowned 2008 Lexus Isf with the sticky dash board Issue and also the door panels are decaying away. Lexus will not replace my items that are damage due to their poor mixture of the material used to make their dash and panels. Preowned purchased should be cover if the car meet the defective Issue.
Dashboard Is melting, causing a shinny intense glare on windshield causes poor visibility on sunny days. . . .
Dash Is melting and cracked. Causing visibility impairment.
I received 2 recalls in the mail one was for front wiper nut and the other was trunk release lever. I called Lexus of mobile to set up apt to have the recalls fixed. I live in destin, FL and mobile Is the closest Lexus dealership. I have had another recall on my Lexus Isf and they picked it up and left another Lexus until they were able to have it done. This Lexus dealership just doesn't meet standards of the Lexus experience I actually flew to Lexus in knoxville in 2008 to get my Lexus Isf because the mobile Lexus Is horrible customer service. With all this said the lady I talked to today lynn worthington was one of the worse customer service people. I asked if they could pick up my car 1. Because it Is a 2hr drive 2. I do work land 3. I didn't cause this recall the letter was sent to me. She told me it was nothing dangerous (the nut on the wiper) it was only if you were dealing with snow. This may be true I don't know but I would hate to be driving down the road and it fall off because she says it Is nothing. This being said she said no they would not pick up the car of course she was rude the people that work there usually are. I feel as though I should still experience the Lexus experience I have loved my car and would like to buy another but not with this type of service. The conversation ended with her saying she would call me tomorrow because it's expensive for them to pay drivers to come here. Really? wow! I thought that's why you buy expensive cars to get a little service.
My dashboard Is melting horribly. I have contacted Lexus on several occassions. I was told that I first needed to bring it the nearest dealership in my area to have to serviced and get an estimate. The service report stated that the dash was in fact melting and needed to be replaced. I followed up with another call to Lexus and was informed that it was out of warranty and that it could not be replaced. I indicated that that Issue Is by far not a warranty Issue but in fact a defect in the material used to make the dashboard. The visibility on the driver side Is horrible and quite dangerous.
Wh accidenten it get hot outside my dashboard starts to get soft and shiny and sticky. When it gets to that point in the middle of the day it creates a glare reflection on the front windshield that makes it hard to see. I try to bring this up to 3 separate Lexus dealership and the all of them don't want to take responsibility for the Issue instead they accuse me putting some type of chemical over it which I have not put a thing over my dashboard or my door panels not even water. They don't really care about driving safety hazard for the consumer's safety, all they wanna do this just push us away and said it was something that we did or something that we put on the dashboard. And they claim that they have never heard about this Issue before when I obviously do a search on the form a lot of consumers Is having this Issue everywhere. Buying a $40,000 car we should not have to deal with this driving safety Issue of the dashboard melting having a glad reflection on the front windshield that will cause an accident eventually and it will be a big lawsuit.
