The contact stated that while driving, the driver’s side rear tire experienced a blowout from the inner sidewall. The contact heard a loud boom and pulled into a gas station and became aware of the blowout. The vehicle was subsequently taken to a tire store and the technicians discovered that the rear passenger’s side tire could have a blowout as well. The tires were replaced by an independent tire shop. The contact stated that another vehicle equipped with the same tire brands had experienced the same Issues. The contact stated that there was visible wear to the front tires. The vehicle failure mileage was 123,000. The tire failure mileage was 12,000.
