The ars light comes on and will not go off, was advised that Lexus no longer makes this part so I can not get it fixed this was a part of a previous campaign recall but I am still having the Issue.
Passenger side seat belt warning light comes on with no one sitting there. Need to replace dash/instrument cluster harness.
Dashboard and door panels are sticky, engine seems like it will die out when I come to a stop . Sunroof doesn't open because controls don't work .
The contact owns a 2006 Lexus Is 250. While driving approximately 40 mph, the seat belt strap slipped out of the buckle. The contact stated that the failure occurred for approximately two months. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 131,059.
The Is 250 and Is 350 have a know Issue from Lexus concerning the air bag wiring harness. It fails and leaves all of the srs system unusable to work. Lexus Is not recalling this problem but only replacing the harness if you complain and meet the mileage and warranty . This Is a know safty Issue and could lead to injury or death.
