Five problems related to front air bag sensor control have been reported for the 2007 Lexus IS250. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Owners of toyotas and Lexus vehicles are experiencing problems with the airbag occupant sensor located under the right front seat dealers are not acknowledging this problem. It is all over the internet and facebook. It is similar to the tacoma frames rusting out prematurely. Eventually they acknowledged the problem and took action. It appears they won't take any action until pressured.
Passenger osc sensor fails due to faulty wiring harness. Lexus charges $2500 to repair and will not cover under warranty.
I own a Lexus Is250, I pushed down on the gas pedal and it got stuck. I rammed into a car and hit it twice before the car would stop. I hit the car on the sensory going 35 miles per hour and my air bags didn't deploy.
Car side swipe me and forced me into another car. My car totaled from damage to side and front end. Air bags did not go off (side or front) and subsequent inspection showed damaged airbag sensor(s?).
Sensor for the passenger airbag is not working properly. The airbag light turns "off" when I sit in the passenger seat. The problem occurs all the time and I find myself in the passenger seat literally without any airbag protection. The dealership said they cannot fix the problem because I am underweight. I am not that small, with approx. 5'4' and 100 pounds. I am deeply concerned for my safety.
