I was driving and out of no where my indicator light said low voltage steering. I waited a couple of days to get an oil change and have the car inspected and the service guy wrote up the order. I gave the service guy my keys and noticed he never moved the car, I questioned him as to why and he said the car won't start. I replied to his statement and said how is that I just cut it off. The service guy had a tech test the battery and couldn't read it because the voltage was extremely low.

The contact owns a 2007 Lexus is 250. While driving approximately 35 mph, the esc warning indicator illuminated and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to start the vehicle. In addition, while approaching a traffic light, the vehicle stalled again. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the vsc code was reset; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 170,800.
Takata recall. While driving the vehicle the lights will just go off or flicker. This can sometimes be corrected by turning the lights off then back on. This can happen while driving or idlelight bulbs have been replace and the problem still persist. Check vsc light on with no problems with the engine. Coke's on and off for years.

Vsc light, check engine light, traction control light all came on at the same time. Po303 cylinder 3 misfire detected. Have saw online many people complaining of the same problem. Engine is shaky during idle or shaky when its cold. Previous owned a 2009 Lexus Is250 and had the same problem. Heard of some people saying Lexus dealers took cars in and had problem fixed as recall. Not finding any recalls for my car. My mechanic says its a good running car, but something doesn't feel right.
"takata recall" the second day I bought my car it has been giving me problems. I have had to replace my engine/motor not long after I purchased my car. I'm still having the same problems with my car and new motor. It runs hot and I have brought it to 6 different mechanic as well as to the Lexus dealership multiple times and I have had to pay out of pocket for a lot of things. I also went on Lexus. Com and found out that my car is a lemon buy back and was never told by the dealership I bought it from or the Lexus dealership in baton rouge louisiana that it was a lemon. I had to fund out on my own. It very wrong that I bought a car and not told my anyone how the car is a lemon.

The contact owns a 2007 Lexus is 250. The contact stated that the vsc and check engine indicators illuminated intermittently. While driving 20 mph, the traction control failed and the vehicle spun out of control onto an open field. The dealer stated that the exhaust pipe was excessively corroded and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and the manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 70,000.
Check engine, vsc, traction lights comes on as vehicle comes to a stop with a rough idle, and at times exhibits a temporary loss of power intermittently, while the vehicle is mobile/rolling. Lexus sent out a tsib letter to us owners for similar symptoms with possible diagnostic trouble codes(dtc): p0300-p0306. Further, according to Lexus corp. "the check engine light may illuminate for reasons of unrelated condition. " Lexus corporation suspects the cause of problem is carbon deposit accumulation in the intake valves and a replacement of piston ring set and or pistons may be indicated. If this is what's occurring inside the engine and is inherent to Is250 models only ,then it would seem to a reasonable person there is a design and potential safety flaw in these vehicle models. Also, because of this design flaw, my vehicle is now having catalytic failure and a what sounds like a rattle during a cold crank start of the vehicle. However, when a vehicle is taken to a dealer, the Lexus dealers are quick to dismiss the problem by the claims that the symptoms are not replicable enough for them to verify the problem. The temporary loss of power may one day cause the driver to have a serious accident should the steering wheel lockup or should the problem happen during hill ascends, which may cause the vehicle to roll back into traffic or off the main road. Why is Lexus corporation not making this issue a safety recall, and rather, just treating it as a concern nature. I would beseech the traffic safety board to please look into this matter as to avoid any injury or worse, a loss of innocent life. This is my first Lexus vehicle and it has become a very disappointing experience.
I took my vehicle in to a Lexus dealership on March 15, 2013 because the engine has powered down while driving & the check engine and vsc indicators came on simultaneously, the car is also idling hard. I had the vehicle inspected and it was found to misfire by the technicians at the dealership. I was told that this is a massive recall and that my parts will not come in for eight months. I am afraid to drive my vehicle which is why I brought it to the dealership and do not understand why the company will not loan me a vehicle while this manufacturing defect is corrected.
Drove over gravel on road, then steering column froze up. When brought to Lexus they said all the electrical steering components are broke. My insurance CO. Said parts are made of plastic, and would take a minor occurrence to cause breakage to these necessary parts. Insurance CO. Says it she be under warranty (I have less then 3,000 miles), but Lexus says no!.

I was driving home from a mountain community while it was snowing. I activated my ect snow button on my vehicle and proceeded to go up and down two large snow covered mountains. After successfully traversing the terrain, I approached a stop sign when I began to lose control of the car. My safety features , trac and ect activated and righted the vehicle, however, after the vehicle was righted, the vehicle suddenly loss power and seemed as if it stopped. The car was shut off and turned back on, however, the brake, abs, and slip indicator lights remained illuminated. I proceeded to drive on the main road and went down two hills before approaching a hill and began to climb the hill, at which time my rear wheels began to spin and I lost control of the vehicle and turned 180 degrees in the middle of the road. At that time, I decided to go back to my original location, however, trac, ect, nor my brakes were functioning. I slowly went down the hill and approached the first hill I had gone down and immediately, loss traction and spun around into a ditch. Two individuals helped me get the car righted and back on the road, at which I again spun around and ended up in the front yard of vacant house. The car remains at that location and is awaiting pick up by the manufacturer with none of the safety features functioning. I was very fortunate that I was not injured nor did I injure anyone else. The car is currently unable to be driven and will be towed to the nearest Lexus dealer on or about 12/28/2010.

I own a 2006 Lexus Is250 and there is a problem that I cannot see to handle nor the dealer can handle. The problem with the car is that when I'm going over 60 to 65 mph the check engine light blinks and the vsc light comes on. The car does not accelerate and just the rpm would go up. I took the car in to the dealer with extended warranty in hand on 4 now 5 different occasions and everytime I'm hearing different stories. Here is the list. * may 22, 2009: 60,000 mile service done. * sept 6, 2009: took the car in for "check vsc & check engine". Next day they told me nothing was wrong with the car. * oct 10, 2009: towed car to dealership. "check vsc & check engine" light came on again. Pulled over on the highway 3 times to reset but the lights did not go away. Pulled over twice earlier that day, twice the day before also. * oct 14, 2009: (Lexus told you that the issues were resolved by swapping the engine coils the day or two before. No charges. ) I requested an emissions test before I came to pick it up. Lexus called back and told me that the engine light came back on again during the emissions test. Still looking for the problem. * oct 18, 2009: Lexus called, told me that the problem with the engine is because of the carbon buildup. They were going to cover the valve springs but I would have to pay for the cleanup which is $ 960. Not covered by ext. Warranty. 2 other dealers told me that the carbon buildup cleanup was an injunction service and it is supposed to only cost 190 dollars. The funny thing is that the dealer wrote the problem is caused by "carbon buildup cleanup?" with a question mark. Took the car and had the injunction service done. I took the car to another Lexus dealer and they told me that while the other dealer was doing the coil swap they cracked the cover for it and now gas was leaking. Had to get it fixed and also did the carbon buildup cleanup (injunction service). Feb 2010 same problem occurred.
